		<description>In response to a previous post, I&#039;ve just installed Screen Ruler 0.891 from the Ubuntu repositories. (10.04 Lucid Lynx) and should point out that it is semi transparent.

I agree that a tooltip would increase its usability by 100%</description>

		<description>Just started using the Ubuntu version. 
Very handy and a big help in OO and other applications where the only ruler is fixed in a margin. I move this around the screen. Would be nice if I could make it semitransparent -- but that would be a bell and whistle, I have found it extremely useful.</description>

kruler - bug in vertical mode - counts the window decoration as part of the length in pixels, not cool.

screenruler - version in ubuntu repos still doesn&#039;t show a tooltip with the measurement, you have to count the little black lines (!).  Supposedly a tooltip has been added, but noone has bothered to package it apparently.  Have checked debian sid, ubuntu karmic nad jaunty.</description>
